Scenario Description

Content Warnings: Climate change, themes of apocalypse, human sacrifice.
The summer of 476 was hotter and dryer than any in the Empire thought possible. Three consecutive years of unrelenting heat and drought had baked the soil to powder. Terrible winds tore up crops by the root and sandstorms swept across the countryside like a long blade of a scythe. Granaries emptied, the wells ran dry, and in cities like Brana, the bodies piled as high as the city walls.
It was the end of the world.
Famine, pestilence, death—all signs of the apocalypse matching the omens stitched into an ancient tapestry. Titled "The Pact", it depicts the fertility goddess Ayla as she bestows the gift of childbirth onto the first generation of people so that they may, through their children, live on after death.
